EMPTIES // December '14Monday, December 29, 2014
I think you should all know how this works by now; basically I show you my empty products and give you quick reviews on each, whether I liked them or not and if I'd be buying them again. The majority of it is skincare and there are a few products that always crop up in these empties posts (that just shows how much I love them!)
Linden Leaves Porcelain Brightening Serum*
This is the second bottle of this serum I have been through and I am still loving it! It feels lightweight when you apply it and sinks into the skin pretty much immediately. I use this at night, but it works well during the day as well. I have definitely noticed an improvement in my darker acne scarring that has lightened a lot since using this. I'd happily buy this again!
Natio Acne Clear Spot Purifying Spot Treatment
I've been through a number of these tubes as I find it works really well to help treat spots and reduce the overall redness over night. I use this at night, directly onto any spots I have and it makes a real difference in the appearance and look of them the following morning. I've already got a brand new tube of this going and it's one of those things I will always have in my bathroom cupboard.
Comvita Manuka Pure Hydrating Night Moisturiser for Dry Skin
This came in the August Goodie Box and the 15ml sample bottle actually lasted me a good couple of weeks so I could really see how the product worked for my skin. Overall it did benefit and I found using it about 3 or 4 times a week helped my combination skin. It's not something I would go out and buy but it was nice to try out.
Tresemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray
A pretty boring, but necessary hair product is a heat protectant, and this one is cheap and works well. It helps to smooth and soften the hair as well as protect it from heat from the hair dryer, straightener, curler etc. I find my hair doesn't feel as dry since I've been using this daily. This lasted around 5 to 6 months and I'm already onto my second bottle and I'll definitely keep buying it!
Garnier Perfect Blur 5 Sec Smoothing Base Perfector
Last month this was in my empties and I've already been through a second tube! To be fair I did start this one half way through the month so it has been about 6 weeks. I love this as a primer, it fills in my pores to make them smaller and helps to stick down my foundation for a little bit longer. It's affordable and easy to find, hence why I keep coming back to it! .
Linden Leaves Miraculous Facial Oil*
Linden Leaves is the flavour of the month it seems! This is my go-to facial oil and I try to use it at least once a week with a couple of drops of the Trilogy Rosehip Oil to really amp it up. Having an oil in your skincare routine is very important, even if you have the oiliest of skins; it's definitely an important thing I have learned over the past two or so years! I have another bottle of this all ready to go, so I should be set for the next 6 months at least!
Maybelline Makeup Remover Eye & Lip Remover
Lastly an empties wouldn't be complete without this eye makeup remover included! If you don't know, I love this and it does the best job at removing heavy eye makeup without irritating or stinging my eyes at all. It's also super cheap (I've just stocked up on two extra bottles because it was on special for $6 at Countdown!)
As you can see when I find a product I like, especially skincare, I tend to stick with it! But I always try and add in new things because you never know when you might find the perfect product!
What products have you finished up this month? Have you used any of these products?
