USA HAUL #005 // Nails - Essie, OPI, Urban Outfitters + Formula XFriday, December 19, 2014
It's day five of the USA Hauls (catch up here; Drugstores, MAC, Nordstrom Rack, Sephora + Macy's), and today it is all about the nails. This is more of a collective of purchases I made at Walgreens, Sephora, Urban Outfitters and even at Bed, Bath + Beyond. I'm sure that all of these will be cropping up in NOTDs very soon, but I have included swatches of each shade on my nail wheels for your reference!
Essie Nail Polishes // USD $8.50
I couldn't go to the States and not bring home a few bottles of Essie. It's pretty much my favourite nail polish brand of the moment and I can't get enough of the shades I already own. I picked up a couple of bottles here and there from Walgreens, Target and even managed to find a couple of them at TJ Maxx discounted to USD $4.99. My favourite find was the beautiful shade Find Me An Oasis, which I have been on the hunt for for ages now. The other shades are beauts too, and Toggle To The Top is the perfect festive, Christmas shade.
Essie Colour Me Essie Mini Holiday Set // USD $15.00 - Walgreens
When I saw this mini set at Walgreens I knew I had to grab it, even though I do already have the full sized bottle of Butler Please (see the swatch and NOTD of that shade here). It includes mini bottles of Bahama Mama, Smokin' Hot, Madamoiselle and Jazzy Jubilant (which looks like an amazing glitter!)
Urban Outfitters Nail Polishes in Oyster + Champagne Toast // USD $5.00 each or two for $8.00
UO was a really amazing shop, not only did it have beautiful homeware and clothing, the actual interior layout and design was spot on. I couldn't resist getting a couple of polishes, but chosing was very hard! Oyster looks amazing in the bottle but is extremely light in colour when you apply it, only giving a hint of purple when you move it around. Champagne Toast on the other hand is just as beautiful as it looks in the bottle!
OPI Nail Polishes in Ski Slope Sweetie + To Be Or Not To Beagle // USD $9.29
I got these two OPIs on separate occasions. I found Ski Slope Sweetie at TJ Maxx discounted down to only USD $3.99, but found To Be Or Not To Beagle (from the new Peanuts Collection) at Bed, Bath & Beyond for full price. I love the Peanuts collection glitter, the cartoon quality with the matte bits of glitter totally had me sold!
Formula X for Sephora The Three in Opposites Attract, Galaxy + Extraterrestrial // USD $18.00
The Formula X stand was completely overwhelming; there were far too many amazing colours and too much choice. But I went for this set that included three full sized bottles for only $18.00; a great deal considering a bottle alone is $12.50. These have an almost OPI Liquid Sand type feel and look to them and they went on easily in just on coat!
My bag was definitely a lot heavier on the way back with these new additions to my polish collection but it was so worth it! Tomorrow I wrap up the haul week, concluding with some miscellaneous stuff, including some skincare, perfume and even Lego!
What is your favourite polish shade from the ones I got?
