COLOURPOP | Shaaanxo + Minx Society Super Shock Shadow SetsWednesday, May 13, 2015
Oh ColourPop you are truly going to take over the world soon. If you are a makeup lover, you would have surely heard about the wonderfulness that is ColourPop, if not, you're in for a treat because this new makeup brand is hitting every nail on the head and producing some incredible products. I did a big haul early in the year, and I've slowly been making my way through the large amount of Super Shock Shadows I got. Here are a couple of the collab four packs I bought, including NZ's own, Shannon Harris aka Shaaanxo.
Shaaanxo x ColourPop | USD $20.00
Shannon is the reason I first heard about ColourPop and it was her introduction to these four shadows she bought out that spurred me to finally make an order. Luckily they decided to ship to NZ after all of us NZ viewers wanted to get our hands on her set. It comes with four shadows in some beautiful shades; XO, Rebel, Selfie and Deluxe. All of them work so well together, and each shades are very complimentary. I talked about the texture and pay-off in these in my haul and first impressions, but in a nutshell they are highly pigmented, beautiful to blend and then they set down to a powder finish. You can work them in with a brush for a more lighter pay-off or pack them on with your fingers.
I absolutely love XO for highlighting and for the inner corner, and Selfie makes an amazing crease colour and is one I reach for more often these days. I really can't rave about these enough!
Minx Society x ColourPop | USD $20.00 [Sold out each shade sold individually]
Unfortunately I was a bit late posting this review up, because now this set is unavailable on the site, but you can just buy each shade alone and it works out the same price anyway. It's a lot deeper and darker than Shannon's set, and is perfect for a smokey eye/night time look. The matte black shade, Roulette, is amazing and the pigmentation makes it a total winner. On The Rocks is a beautiful bronze shade, and Get Lucky is a very unique luxe gold shade. Girly isn't your normal pearly white, it has flashes of pink and gold through it as well. I love the four together, and like Shannon's they all compliment each other beautifully.
From the packaging, to the cute personalised card they leave in your parcel, to the amazing quality - I am a huge fan of ColourPop and will totally be making another order (especially seeing as they have just come out with highlighters and soon, bronzers!) The shipping to NZ does get a tad expensive, usually between USD $20 to $25 depending on the weight and how many things you order, but considering how cheap each item actually are ($5, and $8 for the blushes), it's worth it!
Have you got on the ColourPop bandwagon yet? What Super Shock Shadows do you love?
