AUSTRALIS | New Releases - Mix It Foundation + New Velourlip Matte Lip Cream Shades - CassandraMyee

Australis have really been making a name for themselves in the cosmetics industry in NZ and Australia lately with some really great releases, and a lot of new and interesting products. As part of a recent release, they came out with this new Mix It Foundation, plus added five more shades to their already extensive range of the amazing Velourlips. Here's my thoughts on these products.

Velourlips Matte Lip Cream in Buda-Pash* + Shang-hi!* | NZD $15.00 each via. Beauty Bliss
I've gotta say, my collection of Velourlips is growing very steadily! Pa-ree is one of my ultimate favourite shades, but the drop of the five new shades might overtake it! I was sent two shades, and are the two I would have bought anyway. Buda-Pash is perfect for Winter, it's a deep dark red, with a hint of brown through it. Shang-hi! is the complete opposite, but still beautiful. This darker bright pink can be worn throughout the year. These are extremely matte, they go on very pigmented and you only need a thin layer (otherwise it will start to crack and flake a lot quicker). Once on the lips they don't take long to set down and then they aren't budging for a few hours! If you're into bold lips, this is a great range of matte lip creams to try out.

Mix It Colour Correcting Foundation* | NZD $18.90 via. Farmers
I've tried a couple of other Australis foundations with mixed thoughts, this one also sits somewhere in between for me. I really like the idea of it, it has green, purple and yellow colour correcting pigments to reduce redness, hide pigmentation and brighten the complexion. The main thing I really don't like about it is the smell, it's very weird and hard to pinpoint but I am definitely not a fan. As for coverage and formula, it's on the thicker side and has buildable coverage, to about a medium coverage. I didn't get the best lasting power out of it (my skin is quite oily), so I think it's better for normal, or dry skins.

Have you tried any of these products? What do you make of the Velourlips - any favourite shades?
