COLOURPOP | Fetch, Please - Isabelle Fuhrman SetWednesday, June 03, 2015
In my last ColourPop post (have a read here, it features the Shaaanxo + Minx Society Sets), I mentioned there would be a bit more ColourPop goodness coming to the blog, and here it is! When I did my big haul (here) I wanted to try a little bit of everything that CP had to offer, so the Fetch, Please set by actress, Isabelle Fuhrman, was a good way to get a few shades of the Super Shock shadows and some of the Lippies Stix (plus the packaging was very enticing!)
The set comes houses in a beautiful box, you definitely can't fault ColourPop on their packaging and designs. Inside the box there are three Super Shock Shadows (well, technically five), and three shades of Lippie Stix.
I loved the idea that this set had two pots of the shadows, but included two different shades - it's a great use of space, and perfect for the more 'out there' colours. All of them are matte shadows and as you can see they don't disappoint in the pigmentation department (which I've raved about before). Lovey Dovey is a light grey, paired with Hunger, a dark maroon red. Just A Sip has a whole pot to itself, which I like as it's the most wearable of the shades. The light peachy brown is perfect for all over the lids.
The last double up includes two matte pressed pigments. First off I was a bit alarmed when the bottom said 'not for eye area', but after some research they are intended for the eye area, but there is a certain ingredient (something to do with the neon-ness) that isn't completely approved in the States, but is elsewhere. Don't let that put you off because these two shades are stunning; Squint is a neon orangey-red and Liaison is a neon violet blue, and probably my favourite from the lot.
As well as the Shadows, what drew me to the set were the three shades of Lippie Stix's. They are all matte finishes, but they aren't a drying matte and instead feel very comfortable on the lips and have an amazing wear time. The colour pay off is fantastic and even the lighter shades go on with full opacity. Precocious is the only let down in the set for me because it looks a bit like concealer lips as this nude shade almost matches my skintone, so it looks a little bit ridiculous! Fortunately the other two shades I absolutely love; Squeeze is my perfect pink colour, and Paramour is an amazing deep berry.
The set is only USD $30.00 here and is a great introduction to the range they offer. The Super Shock Shadow shades might not be to everyone's taste but personally I think they are very fun to experiment with and push the boundaries a bit with, and the lipstick shades are beautiful! I talked more about the shipping costs and timing etc. in the haul post, so head over there for all of those details if you are interested in buying from ColourPop.
Have you got this set? What shades are you drawn to the most? Also, what are some of your ColourPop must haves? I can feel another order brewing!
