LUST HAVE IT | Women's Beauty Box May '15 - Unboxing + Initial ThoughtsWednesday, June 24, 2015
It seems that finally Lust Have It have sorted out their shipping issues and things are arriving on time! The May box* (they skipped April to get back on track) arrived only three weeks after the March one, so next month I'll do a collective review of the products inside both boxes. If you're unfamiliar to Lust Have It, let me introduce you to it! It's a monthly subscription service for AUD $19.95 a month, and it promises to come with at least five things inside, a mix of full sized and sample sizes. This month the bag was packed with 8 products, four of them are full sized, with the rest being deluxe sample sizes.
Bloom Liquid Foundation Brush | RRP $35.00
Bloom is a brand I have seen around for years, even since I was younger. I've always felt like it is aimed at younger market so haven't really been attracted to their products, but in saying that I am really excited to see this brush in the box! You either received this brush, or a foundation stick, so I'm very glad I got the brush. The bristles feel really soft and the brush seems to be great quality. I use this sort of brush to initially apply my foundation before blending with a buffing brush, or sponge; it helps to give an even layer of foundation over the entire face.
Soak Hair Shine Shampoo + Hair Revive Conditioner (25ml samples) | Full size RRP $24.95 each [500ml]
I've never heard of, or seen this brand around before, but I love this size sample product because they are perfect for travelling! The shampoo is enriched with purple kale, that is packed with a high concentration of nutrients, and the conditioner has maca root inside it providing vitamin B6, calcium and zinc. I'm hoping these will be really nourishing for the hair, and it will be interesting to see if these superfoods do anything different to my locks.
Soak Skin Booster Body Lotion (25ml) | Full size RRP $29.95 [500ml]
Another perfect travel sized lotion from the same brand above. This lotion is enriched with chia seed to restore moisture and relive dry skin. The products seem to be really affordable as well, especially for the amount you get in a full size bottle.
Hola Seaweed Moisturising Toner | RRP $24.95 [150ml]
This product could not have come at a better time; I've just finished my current bottle of toner and hadn't bought another, but LHI have got me covered. There were a range of 7 different products you could have received in the bag, ranging from a mask, an eye cream, and other lotions and cleansers. From some Googling, this looks to be a Chinese brand (that is oddly made in Australia...) that LHI will start to stock on their online shop. I love the Seaweed range from The Body Shop, so I hope this toner will impress me! Also doesn't the packaging look very similar to the Benefit skincare products?
Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner (15ml sample) | Full size RRP $25.95 (30ml)
This is definitely the most exciting item in this months box, and is actually from a brand I recognise and hear amazing things about. I've used a sample of their famous Sensibio H2O and really liked it, but this product sounds like exactly what I need. I have very large pores, my skin is especially oily in my t-zone and no matter what I try nothing seems to really reduce them. This is to be used everyday, after cleaning and toning, before moisturising. I will definitely be reporting back on this one!
[Note: this product was not on my card that includes a list of the products with pricing etc - instead it says there should be either a sample of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (10ml) or Reve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream.]
Lonvitalite 24K Gold Active Golden Yulan Oil Facial Mask | RRP $9.95
I've said it plenty of times before, I don't get on with these sheet masks very well and to be honest I wish they would stop including them in the boxes! This is the third or even fourth one I have received, all from the same brand, but at least this time it is a different range, It'll be interesting to see if putting gold on my face will help my wrinkles!
Lonvitalite 24K Active Gold Eye Mask | RRP $9.95
This is dubbed a bonus product which is a nice addition. I've only ever used little under the eye masks, never one that goes right around the eye area. It'll be interesting to try it out and it promised to relieve swelling, tiredness, remove dark circles and help with sagging skin and crows feet - that's a lot to promise!
This month's box had a total worth of around $96.65, a really good value considering the $19.95 you pay for it. Lust Have It is available for Australians and New Zealanders, and if you want to try it out you can use the code CASSMYEE which will give you $5 off your first Women's Beauty Box.
Do you get the Lust Have It monthly subscription? What do you think of the products included in this month's box?
