MOREISH SKINCARE | Foaming Cleanser, Day Cream + Pure Argan Oil - ReviewMonday, August 10, 2015
There's a new skincare brand in town in the form of Moreish - Superfood for Skin. They're NZ based, and use 100% organic ingredients in their range (all of which are argan oil based). I've been giving three products from the range a test run over the past few months, and I've gotta say the products definitely impress, in quality, effectiveness and price range.
Purifying & Refreshing Foaming Cleanser* | NZD $20.00 [200ml]
This cleanser is aimed at combination/oily skin (me!), but out of the three products I was sent from the range this left me the least impressed, but don't get me wrong - it's still good! It contains argan oil, green tea and manuka honey to cleanse the skin. It's a generous 200ml bottle with a pump and a little goes a long way. It doesn't really foam up, but more gets into a lather once you work it into wet skin. I find it can be a touch drying on my skin, perfect if you have super oily skin, but for drier skins be aware! It does do a good job at removing excess dirt, makeup etc and makes the skin feel super clean (albeit slightly stripped).
Daily Redemption Day Cream* | NZD $25.00 [50ml]
No surprises here that this day cream is argan oil based, and also includes vitamin E and blueberry in its ingredient line up, all to help with anti-aging and to nourish the skin. This is aimed at normal to dry skin, but even on my combo/oily skin I find it works well, but perhaps not as mattifying as I might like. It's definitely moisturising and sinks into the skin quickly without leaving a greasy feeling or film to the skin and works well as a moisturising base for makeup. I'm not sure whether I will repurchase this after I finish it up, but it would make a great option for those with dry skin.
Liquid Gold 100% Pure Argan Oil* | NZD $30.00 [30ml]
Last, but definitely not least, is in my opinion the star of the show - 100% pure argan oil. This comes in a small dropper bottle much like other oils do and I've found that when ever I use it, the next morning my skin feels and looks remarkably better. You only need to use a small amount - I usually go for about 4 drops to cover my face and neck at night (you can also use it in your hair and as a cuticle oil for your nails). It takes a bit to sink in, but because I use it at night I'm not fussed about it sitting on the skin and working its magic. It seems to really help with the redness in my skin, and even helps to clear up my acne as well. I think if you buy one product from the range - make it this one, plus it's an amazing price for 100% pure argan oil.
Moreish can be found at supermarkets and also at Farmers. There's a total of seven products in the range, including a hand cream, eye cream, night cream and exfoliator.
Have you used Moreish before?
