M.A.C | Vamplify Collection - Review + SwatchesFriday, September 25, 2015
New M.A.C collections have been coming out thick and fast this year and it's almost hard to keep up with them all! Their latest release is the Vamplify range (Fall release for the US), with 17 high intensity lip glosses, and 12 Pro Longwear Lip Pencils, all in some gorgeous shades. I was sent two shades from the Vamplify selection, so check out my thoughts and some swatches after the jump.
I'm not sure how far I would go calling them lip glosses, they are more like lip lacquers with a very glossy finish, because the pigmentation of them is unreal. The tubes are very long and skinny, with a long doefoot applicator, that I find really helps to disperse the product evenly on the lips. I would suggest using a lip liner with them because they can get a little messy to work with if you don't have a steady hand, or patience, and it also helps with bleeding around the lip line. It's best to wipe off a bit of the product before applying them and then working up from there. They promise to wear comfortably for hours, which I do agree with - the glosses are moisturising and not too stick or gloopy on the lips, but they are going to transfer - on everything. The formula does almost leave a stain behind on the lips, so they wear off pretty evenly.
The shades I was sent are; How Chic Is This?*, an amazing violet purple, and What's Going On?*, a very bright fuchsia. The range does have some more neutral shades in it as well, but most are not for the faint hearted! This is a limited edition collection with the Vamplify Glosses retailing at NZD $48.00, and the Pro Longwear Pencils at $50.00 each, and can be found at M.A.C counters around the country from now.
What do you think of this collection? Are there any shades you think you might pick up?
