Garnier, you've done it again! First you came out with the amazing Micellar Cleansing Water (review here, and I also finally found it in NZ supermarkets, I may have bought two bottles...), and now you have nailed it again with this 2-in-1 Express Eye Makeup Remover* that is now part of a pretty great makeup removing routine.
Well it looks as though Lust Have It are finally getting their act together. with the February Women's Beauty Box* finally arriving late last week. If you read my combined mega post with my End of Month Review for December and Unboxing for January (see it here if not), you would have realised my frustration with the delays that LHI were having sending out the monthly boxes. But sure enough a week later this particular box turned up, so here is my thoughts on the items inside with the theme 'All About Makeup'.
I have a mighty large nail polish collection, honestly it is a little ridiculous and would rival any salon, but one brand I didn't have any nail polishes from until now is L'Oreal. They just went under my radar and I never really thought of them as being a go-to when it comes to nail colours. I was sent a shade to try from their Colour Riche Le Vernis line, so I've included it in a good ol' classic Nail Of The Day.
Mini kits have got to be one thing about the beauty industry I love and I wish more brands in NZ would do them! While in the States last November, I spent my fair share of time (and money) browsing the shelves of Sephora, and was drawn to this very affordable kit packed with five best selling products from Smashbox. As I've not delved much into Smashbox products, this was a great introduction, so here are some thoughts on each one.
By the title of this post, you might think I've got a little bit mixed up because it's March now, and how could I have only possibly received the January Lust Have It Women's Beauty Box*? Well LHI have got royally behind on their shipping and I've been waiting well over a month for the January box to arrive. If you follow them on FB, you'll see there is a lot of disgruntled customers, and with good reason! I'm lucky enough to get these sent to me for free, but I can't deny that the wait time is a little ridiculous and I really hope they sort it out soon!
Anyway, negativity aside, here is my thoughts on the items from the December bag and the unboxing of the January bag (that I actually think has some great products inside!)
Limited edition MAC collections are always a complete success, to the beautiful packaging and the special shades they release, no wonder they sell out! The latest collection from MAC is in collaboration with Isabel and Ruben Toledo, who are fashion designers and illustrators, and it pulls fashion, makeup and art into one amazing collection.
Is it just me or do these weeks seriously keep getting quicker and quicker?! Anyway, it's Sunday and it means it's time for the weekly round up of the posts and Instagrams I posted this week. A rather big change happen this week for CM and I bet you might already be able to tell... it had a make over! I bought and downloaded this theme from Etsy and installed it earlier in the week. There's still some tweaks and updates I really want to do but so far, so good!
In the grand scheme of my lipstick collection, I only have a handful of MAC ones. There are two reasons why; 1) they are relatively expensive (if we are talking NZ prices), and 2) there are far too many shades available that it is overwhelming and makes it too hard choose. I know the second point is like a first world problem situation, but it can be daunting browsing the beautiful stand packed with lipsticks. Hence my small collection of seven lipsticks, but a collection I am wanting to grow. Here is my stash of very loved MAC lipsticks with swatches and details of the shades I own.
Good brushes can change your makeup application for the better; they can make applying, blending, buffing and contouring that much easier, basically making the brush do all the work for you. You can definitely fork out a lot on brushes, and often times it's necessary to get great quality brushes, but if you're on a budget, or just want to buy a few extra brushes to have, look no further than the e.l.f. [eyeslipsface] Studio Brushes.
Now I get a lot of deliveries, but one that I am always beyond excited to find in the letter box is my monthly Happy Mail subscription from A Beautiful Mess. I've talked about it a few times before (unboxings here and here), and today I am bringing you the unboxing for the February addition. I honestly didn't think that the last month's could be topped, but this one is the best one yet and you'll soon see why...
