KIEHL'S | Ultra Facial Cleanser + Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum ConcentrateFriday, October 21, 2016
I feel like a rather bad beauty blogger that I had never used a single Kiehl's product, before I was kindly sent these two to try. It's a brand I've been familiar with for a while as many girls in the UK rave about their range; my Mum is also a fan (especially of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate). I thought I'd do a little review of these two products as I've been using them for months now and I think I've got a good grasp on how my skin responds to them.
I really like the overall brand aesthetic that Kiehl's have going, the apothecary styleand simple packaging doesn't over do it, with the focus on great quality products. Kiehl's have been around for about 165 years, and first started as a pharmacy in New York, since then they have expanded globally with stores all over the show! They're also a great skincare brand for men and women, with all types of skin concerns.
Ultra Facial Cleanser 150ml* | NZD $38.00
This cleanser is one of their cheapest in the range and I have been using it loads, but it is still going strong! It comes out as a thick gel-like texture that is difficult to massage onto the face unless you have a quite a bit water on your fingers. I work it into the skin in circular motions and try and really massage it in to remove all traces of makeup from the day. It does a fantastic job at cleansing the skin free of dirt and makeup, although it is really gentle and would work for all skin types. I use this most evenings, but I would definitely use it morning and night every day if I wasn't testing out some others (beauty blogger life). I would highly recommend this product and I think it's at a great price point.
Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturising Serum Concentrate* | NZD $98.00
I am all for serums, I use one every evening without fail and often flip flop between different ones depending on how my skin is feeling. If I feel on the drier side I always reach for this and it is formulated to plump the skin, improve texture and rehydrate. The texture is extremely light and I usually do about 3-4 pumps of this and smooth it over cleansed and toned skin. Once it hits the skin it turns into an almost water like consistency that sinks in immediately and is like an instant shot of hydration. I always find in the morning that my skin feels so much better than before. I could imagine this would be a great one for those with dry or mature skins.
