TOO FACED | Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Collection + Papa Don't Peach Peach-Infused Blush - Review + SwatchesFriday, March 31, 2017
It's about time I finally got my swatches and review up about the amazing Too Faced Sweet Peach collection which relaunched earlier this year to a lot of hype! I might just be the last person in the beauty community to post about this and you may have seen a fair few posts before, but here are my two cents about the palette and the Papa Don't Peach Blush. It's no secret that I really enjoy both of these (they have been all over my Instagram and featured in my Most Loved), so let me tell you why.
Recently I have been seeing that Too Faced is getting a bit of flack for their products being over-hyped and over priced, aimed at a younger market, but having product names like the Better Than Sex Mascara (which I love), and some people think the packaging is too gimmicky, but personally I really like Too Faced as a brand and the products I have tried from them have all impressed me. Each to their own right?!
The Sweet Peach Palette (NZD $78.00) was actually released as a limited edition palette last year but sold out so quickly and many were gutted that they weren't able to get their hands on it. They definitely listened and relaunched it as a permanent product and also added the Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette (NZD $66.00), the Papa Don't Peach Blush, and the Creamy Peach Oil Lip Glosses (NZD $29.00,8 shades) to the range. As you might have guessed, the products all smell like sweet peaches but don't worry, as it's not overpowering at all and does not detract from the products.
This is my second Too Faced Palette, my first was the Chocolate Bon Bons Palette (review and swatches here), so I already knew that the quality of the shadows was something I wold love. I really couldn't resist the shades in this palette; the golden browns and neutral with the hits of peach and pinks are shades I love to use. The pigmentation is very high on all of the shades, as well as the mattes and these blend well and last all day without fading on my lids. The Palette has 18 shades, and 7 of them are matte, the rest have a varying degree of shimmer to them.
FIRST ROW | It's clear to see the pigment when you see these swatches, they do have a touch bit of fall out but nothing that is going to stop me from using them (I mean, look at those gorgeous shades!). Luscious has been my most used shadow from the whole palette. I find it works well with the mattes in the crease, whether I use a matte brown, or one of the more peachy toned shades. The olive green in Bless Her Heart is also a gorgeous shade.
MIDDLE ROW | This is the most peachy part of the palette and shades like the matte peach Candied Peach, and Bellini work really nicely together. Again, the neutral shades are beautiful and versatile, with the additions of the golds, bronzes and purples allowing many looks to be created.
BOTTOM ROW | The last row contains more of my most used shades, basically all of them bar Talk Derby To Me, which is the one let down shade in the palette. Puree and Summer Yum make the perfect crease shades and I reach for them all the time. The lighter matte shades make great base colours also.
I am a blush fiend so of course, I had to also add the very cute Papa Don't Peach Peach-Infused Blush (NZD $47.00) to my collection. It comes in the same tin design and is a beautiful shimmery peach that warms up the cheeks and gives a bit of glow too. I am getting a lot of use from this as the shimmer isn't too obvious or chunky on the skin and it blends so well.
The range can be found in NZ at Mecca Maxima (opening soon in Wellington) and online at Mecca Beauty and is available across the globe too.
Have you got the Sweet Peach Palette or any other products from the collection? I would love to know what you think of them!
