THE BODY SHOP | New Customisable Eyeshadow Palettes + Brushes - CassandraMyee

Although The Body Shop are most well known for their skincare range, their now extensive makeup range is definitely one to check out. It's all cruelty-free like the rest of their products and 100% vegetarian, plus they have some really amazing products (the Honey Bronzer is one of my absolute favourites). They have just launched a new range of brushes, and customisable eyeshadow palette and I was sent a generous box of amazing-ness to try out.

Just look at all that makeup goodness, plus a couple of skincare bits which I will talk about further below.

TOOLS | The Brushes*
The Body Shop has always had brushes in their range but I feel like they were a bit overlooked. They've now added some new ones in that are 100% vegan, and so, so soft! They have a sleek dark sustainable wooden handle, black ferrule (the metal part), and the bristles are synthetic and charcoal-coated. Trust me when I say how soft these are - when I got them I couldn't stop brushing them on my skin! I was sent four different ones; Angled Blush (NZD $34.95),  Flat Shader (NZD $23.75), Foundation Buffing (NZD $34.95), and the Pointed Highlighter (NZD $32.95). These wash up really well and they are so lovely to use!

REMOVE | Camomile Range
I have mentioned my love for the Camomile Cleansing range a fair few times on here - the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil is just beautiful and I have recently been using the Sumptuous Cleansing Butter* (NZD $32.50, and featured in my recent Most Loved here). All you do is scoop a small bit out of this and apply directly to dry, made up skin and work it around. The butter texture just melts into the skin with ease and lifts off even the stubbornest of makeup. Then I use a damp cloth or the Luxury Facial Flannel* (NZD $10.50) to wipe away the cleanser and it takes off all your makeup with it. I always follow up with a cleanser to make sure my skin is super clean before heading to bed. It is so effective and would work well on all skin types.

CUSTOMISE | Down To Earth Eyeshadows + Palettes*
Late last year TBS launched their Down To Earth Palette (see them here), but at the time they weren't marketed as being customisable. I remember thinking at the time that it was cool that you could pop each one out, and now it all makes sense with the launch of single shadows and a selection of empty palettes. The Eyeshadow Cases come in a large 8 pan palette (NZD $22.00), a quad (NZD $14.00), or a single (mono) (NZD $5.95). They are made from a sturdy black plastic, with a mirror inside and they are really easy to pop the shadows in and out, with the names clearly shown on the underside once they have been clipped in. Each of the eyeshadow refills are $16.00 each, or if you buy a certain number plus a palette it works out a lot cheaper. There's a wide selection of shades, a lot of beautiful neutrals which I am all about, but also some bolder shades, such as the turquoise one above. They have a soft texture to them which blends well and while they aren't highly, highly pigmented (they are definitely pigmented though, but just compared to some others such as the Colourpop Pressed Shadows which are ridiculously pigmented), they are still really nice to work with. The pans are 2g each, much larger than your standard single shadow, plus cruelty-free.

I've gotta hand it to The Body Shop for yet another amazing release of new products - they are seriously nailing it right now. I've always been a fan of their products, so I am so happy they are just getting better and better. All of these products are available in stores and online now.

What do you think of these new products?
